Review of the «Homework» self-study service from Prosveshchenie Publishers

The «Homework» service plays in a completely different league.
Unlike the two services I reviewed earlier, the first of which looks like a silent and very positive alien, and the second looks like a deaf old donkey with a broken leg and a completely severed tail, the service from Prosveshchenie looks like a huge, rushing locomotive.
Here, as the poet wrote, one meets neither fun nor treasure.
Enlightenment is a huge publishing house that supplies almost all textbooks to Russian schools, and it does its service, at least for now, more for teachers than for students.
Characteristically, among the best chemistry textbooks, which I was told by my teachers, almost all of them are made by Prosveshchenie.
The service comes with instructions, and private users are given two sheets of 25.
The service has a huge number of limitations, it looks outdated, and even probably for teachers is not the best choice. So, I mainly use the service YaClass, I have a paid subscription (designed quite a long time ago, at very different prices — although YaClass periodically arranges sales), it also promoted for schools, and in contrast to the service «homework» includes both the theory, and automatic testing of all content.
And in this market there is a very rich Sberbank with its Sberklassom (I asked for access, but alas, only for teachers), and Yandex, and VK (Mail).
And Moscow seems to promote e-school in the regions. And it is not clear who will win-personally, I would bet on the victory of the service, which in the future could produce their tablets (like Apple in America) with all the necessary content, and the state would give them to students.
You go to school with one tablet, or even empty-handed, because the tablet is both at home and at school :). Dream….
Corporate explains the technology used, such as the need to upload manually completed homework in the form of a scan to the service-it is clear that education from the perspective of the state is a very serious matter, and it is necessary to have proof both that the student did something, and that the teacher worked.
The service is on a separate domain. The service is paid, medium-priced. Test access is available for three weeks.
The first thing, as always, is to register.

Choose the Self-Training.

Selecting a subject.

grade level

and the textbook that we use at school.
We choose a workbook to go with the textbook

and begin to create a lesson for ourselves.

Selecting the necessary topics

and go ahead — the assignment is formed.

The service does not contain theory-it is obviously assumed that you have a textbook.
And, of course, compared with the usual, customized for the private user of the rest of the OGE preparatory services, with absolutely predominant multipl-choice tests, in this one you need a lot of typing. Very much.
There is a built-in check in the service — when you enter the answer in the box, you can immediately check the correctness before solving the entire test.

These features of the service have, in my opinion, useful points:
1. If you do not remember the theory by heart — you will definitely have to read it in the textbook (in other services, which offer, for example, 3 attempts to solve 4 answer choices, most teenagers just engaged in guessing).
2. A big test does not break your work into a hundred little steps (read the condition, poke the answer, poke the button next, etc.) — here you have a page with the text, you do not need to remember what you were asked before, here everything is right in front of you.

But, of course, checking in manual mode is completely outdated, although, as I wrote above, an understandable solution. However, the service claims that 85% of jobs are checked automatically.

There are a lot of tasks, but if I understand correctly, they are all written in advance.

The service is in development, many things, such as, for example, the processing of an incorrect decision — it is not in it.
Given the corporate nature of the work and support — I wrote my questions to the service back on 23.03.2023, but a week later there are no answers yet.
I wrote the following:
Good afternoon.
I registered on your service
Service is very cool, but there are a few questions:
1. Usually services are arranged as a mix of Theory and Practice.
I don’t see any theory with you. Am I supposed to have a textbook?
(Or perhaps- the service is just designed for teachers, not self-taught students?)
2. In the service no tips — is cool, that is, you can pass the math you can only if it really knows half.
But this makes it very difficult to learn. Will you be introducing hints or sections with theory or reference material?
Or is it assumed that on those occasions when I’ve forgotten something, I look in the textbook?
Similarly, there are no drop-down cues in the forms, all you have to enter manually. This also really slows down the course. This is done on purpose, for better digestion, or the service is still in development and drop-down tips will appear?
3. The tasks I see are the same as in the books? Or these tasks are generated each time?
4. I see that it is possible to access lessons that need to download a file with my solution?
Is it checked automatically or by a person?
Perhaps it will not work with the free (trial) version, right? What if it is checked by a person, but the person falls ill?
5. I would like to have access to all the chemistry classes, that is, the problem books from grades 7 to 11. Is it possible to buy such a set?
6. Are there and will there be separate materials for GCSE and USE preparations, i.e. separate tasks for solving specific test problems, e.g. Solving 34 chemistry problems?
Thank you very much

If the answer comes — I’ll publish it.

P.S. I am publishing the answer to my questions from Prosveshchenie Publishers
Good day!
Thank you for your appreciation of the service!
We answer your questions:
1. The service is essentially a digital workbooks «Education». Therefore, assignments do not imply (at the moment) explaining the theory, only in some tasks are given explanations. Digital workbooks are meant to be used in tandem with a textbook from the same ABC book.
But we will take your comment into account when planning a future service.
2. The student has the opportunity to give answers to the questions several times. After the 4th unsuccessful attempt, the service offers to take a hint — «key», which shows the correct answer.
It is not very clear what drop-down clues are we talking about? Can you clarify?
3. Assignments in most digital notebooks — these are the same tasks that can be seen in the printed notebooks. But most of them are adapted to the digital format, the open answers are converted into closed for easy automatic testing, and there are additional tasks, i.e. the number of tasks in the service notebooks often more than in printed ones.
Also in the service for Russian and mathematics there are variable tasks. If the teacher gives such an assignment, variations are generated (from 5 to 20 variations).
4. Assignments without autochecking (tasks where you need to enter or download an open answer) will be more useful when working with a teacher, as they require human checking. They are not checked by the service. But such tasks are necessary to develop many useful skills.
5. A set of all chemistry notebooks from grade 8 to 11 (chemistry starts with grade 8) for 1 year for a student with a current 50% discount costs 2,956 rubles. Digital notebooks for each grade must be purchased separately, you can do it on the Lekta platform. 2956 — the cost for four classes, one class with a discount costs 744.50 rubles.
The use of the service is free for the teacher.
6. There are no USE and USE format tasks in chemistry yet, but there are for other subjects. But they may appear in the future in chemistry. As will the appearance of new exercises and new exercise books in the kits.
If you are interested in the USE, pay attention to the service «I pass the USE. Chemistry.»

Sincerely, Prosveshchenie Group

Thank you Prosveshchenie for your response.
Who can I recommend this service to?
I do not know.
But apparently it must be a very serious young man, surely wearing glasses, planning to become at least a deputy minister, who almost never smiles, uses a Nokia phone, and does not know about your Tiktoks.
I don’t know anyone like that, but judging by the home page of the site, one third of all schoolchildren in Russia use this service.
