My questions:
Hello I have looked at the site but I have a few questions.
1. Is it possible to enroll in Korean universities after graduating from 11 summer schools in Russia — or do I still need to complete one university course in Russia?
2. Can foreigners study to become a Doctor in Korea at all?
3. Are there any quotas for training foreigners to become a doctor in Korea (and are there any quotas for Russians?)
4. How is training for a doctor arranged — is it six years or 2 years and then 4?
5. Which universities in Korea have hostels for students for the entire period of study (and are there any)?
6. What is the cost of studying and living in hostels and all other expenses per year when studying to be a Doctor in Korea (meaning the costs associated with studying — that is, payments for textbooks, laboratories, etc. — not including of course food and transport)
7. What exams do I need to take other than Korean?
8. Is it necessary to take preparatory and/or language courses in Korea before entering a university?
9. What is the further procedure for training as a doctor after graduation from the university (postgraduate study, residency, specialization) and obtaining a doctor’s license?
10. Is it possible to stay in Korea after studying for a job?
I’m still only in the 9th grade (out of 11), but I think it’s time to collect information) It’s good if you manage to answer all the questions, but I will be glad to partial answers.
Thanks
Response:
Dear Egor Kugno,
Greetings from the International Student Service Center of NIIED.
Each university has different admission standards, requirements, and benefits. Therefore, we kindly recommend you choose some universities you are interested in and then search for more information such as how to apply and so on. Most universities offer detailed information regarding application procedures and requirements on their website.
For further information, please contact the university admission office for international students.
You may use our website to search Korean universities with various options (regions, the field of study, dormitory, English exclusive lectures, scholarships, etc.) and then ask about admissions of international students directly to the university.
The general admission period of Korean universities for the spring semester is from November to January and the fall semester is from April to June. The exact application period may start at different times depending on the university.
If you would like to be a doctor in Korea, you must take the official licensing examination.
